Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible?

Foster children, unhoused children, and birth children of active foster parents that are under the age of 19. 

What types of occasions may we request cookies for?

Birthdays, high school graduation, and adoption.

What kind of treats do you offer?

Party Cookies (For the Celebration), Class/Group Cookies (to take to school, daycare, church, Etc.), or a cookie cake

Do you offer dietary restrictions?

We will be able to offer gluten sensitive, it would be for the whole order not just a couple of cookies. We are working on getting volunteer bakers who will be 100% GF. 

Are there any blackout dates/what dates do you serve?

No - birthdays happen every day. During the holiday season we just ask that your applications be turned in 2 months prior so that we can plan accordingly. 

What kind of decorations or themes can we choose?

When choosing your theme please keep in mind that exact decoration will be based on the skill level of our volunteer baker. Due to copyright laws specific characters may not be on cookies, but we will try to include them the best we can. For example, specific shapes and colors may be used instead. 

How far in advance do we have to place our order?

1 month, or 2 months for orders needed in February, November, and December.

What if a child is placed with us less than a month before their birthday?

We encourage you to fill out the form and each delayed order will be on a case by case basis, and if we have a volunteer that could take an order at the last minute.  

How do we communicate with the bakers?

For the privacy of the children and the bakers all communication with be with either your case manager or an employee from Heart to Heart Cookies.

What information do you need about our child?

We just need the child's first name and birthday.

Who provides the cookies?

Volunteer bakers that have been vetted by Heart to Heart Cookies, some may be local bakeries and others may be HBV (Homebased vendors) that follow state guidelines.

How many times may my child participate?

We ask that children only participate once a year, they can participate each year if they are eligible. If they have more than one occasion in a year, then they must choose which one they would like us to help them celebrate.
